We have a diverse client base, including some of the most creative and successful talents in music, television, film and multimedia. We represent premiere recording artists, songwriters, television producers, music publishers, record companies, motion picture composers, screenwriters, film producers, artist management companies, recording studios, merchandisers and record producers.  In addition, we represent the estates of some  of the twentieth century's preeminent artists. We have a strong international practice, with business matters in numerous countries around the world, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, France, Argentina and Brazil.

Our major practice areas include: 

1. Transactional

We counsel clients on day-to-day licensing, contractual and business matters, including negotiation, copyright issues, trademarks and branding, licensing, and many matters. We offer an expertise in all areas of the entertainment field, including music, theater, motion pictures, television, live performances, publishing, multimedia and advertising.   

2. Litigation

We handle a broad range of matters in both federal and state courts. Among the areas in which we have litigation expertise are the following:

Royalty Accounting and Collection:  When litigation becomes necessary, we handle civil actions to obtain royalties, residuals, and other compensation for our creative clients.   

Intellectual Property Disputes:  We handle the prosecution and defense of copyright infringement claims, trademark and unfair competition actions, brand and band name disputes and anti-piracy matters, including preliminary and permanent injunctions.

General: We handle the prosecution and defense of claims arising from contractual relationships of all kinds, including business litigation, claims of interference with advantageous business relationships and unfair competition.

3. Corporate

We counsel our clients in establishing, buying and selling companies for their entertainment, real estate, and many other ventures, and we provide legal services in connection with many employment issues.
